Targeting key audiences to promote a new product: mojio

Darren, VP of marketing, needed help building a social media presence for his connected car start-up. Because mojio is a consumer tech company in a competitive industry,  Darren knew that a strong online presence was essential to promote the company and to connect with customers.

After learning about mojio and its target audience, I developed daily content for Twitter and Facebook to appeal to the audience and to reflect mojio’s product and future plans. This included curated content, themed posts to drive engagement (such as Dream Drive Fridays and Mechanic Mondays), and tweeting/retweeting from live events that Darren and the mojio team attended. To keep content fresh and inline with whatever was trending at the time, we used a rapid and flexible approach to content creation that did not include pre-planned content calendars.

In addition, I conducted outreach with targeted groups, such as journalists, car enthusiasts, and tech-savvy consumers, to spread awareness of mojio and grow their online fan base. In the first three months of working with mojio, its online community grew by 300%.
