After years of hard work by the company’s president, this boutique communications agency was growing quicker than ever before. With a roster of freelancers and new hires joining the team full-time, the president found she needed clear, defined business processes and policies.
I worked with the agency president to understand what a particular process or policy needed to accomplish, how the process was currently done, and what the challenges were. With the team’s input and feedback, I developed process documents that outlined concise, concrete steps for accomplishing tasks from IT to report development.
With a set of detailed business and IT process documents, team members, both seasoned and new, could quickly check how to accomplish common tasks in a standardized way. With solid process documents in place, it became simple to update and revise company processes and policies as the agency continued to grow and change.
