50% to 75% open rate on an email automation sequence for a cold audience

Business goal: An eCommerce business needed an email sequence to welcome new email subscribers. The goal was to build an active, engaged audience.


Description of work: I designed the email automation sequence and wrote all the copy. Based on analytics, I updated and optimized the emails regularly.


Outcome: Even though these emails are going to a cold audience, the open rate was between 50% to 75% (it varied by individual email).
